The name should be Arabic in terms of letters and spirit( refer to notes 6,7 for foreign names).

It should be indicative of the type of activity.

It should not conflict with Arabic and Islamic traditions and values.

It should be consistent with true state of affairs.

It should not involve any of God's names and descriptions or has an Islamic indication ( compound names are exempted).

Foreign trade names may be given to local companies against payment (500) Dhs.

Foreign trade names may be given to branches of foreign companies & representative offices without fees.

Trade names may be reserved for an annual fee of Dhs 20.
